June 6th at Fuego Sunnyvale was anything but ordinary. What was meant to be a regular Friday night turned into a full-blown identity crisis — South Indian style.

Why? Because Maasu! took over.

Brought to life by @desidjparty, Maasu! wasn’t just a party — it was movement, memory, and mad energy in full swing. From the moment the lights dimmed and the volume cranked up, the energy was undeniable. The beats were hard, the kuthu was real, and the Bay felt like Chennai and Hyderabad collided on the dancefloor.

With Tamil and Telugu bangers on full blast, our very own @djkarthickmusic and the firestarter @dj.dinuu delivered a set that had the room jumping all night. The vibe? Unapologetically South Indian. The dancefloor? Packed with style, pride, and swag.

And if the music wasn’t enough, the night doubled as a birthday bash for DJ Karthick himself. We also celebrated June birthdays of Shiji, Roshnee, Rathi & Divya. From crowd shoutouts to cake-cutting on the decks, the night was full of love and celebration. The community showed up for one of their own, and the energy was all love. Happy Birthday, Karthick — you shut it down in true Maasu style.
